The Canadian guideline is 200 Bq/m³. Test length and placement matter, so confirm the measurement before deciding what the number means.

Health Canada recommends reducing a valid long-term result in this range within two years.

Above600Bq/m³

Current guidance recommends reducing the level within one year. Plan a timely assessment.

What mitigation does

Intercept radon before it enters the living space.

The most common approach is active sub-slab depressurization. A pipe and small fan draw soil gas from beneath the foundation and discharge it outdoors. The home’s foundation determines the final design.
